Dr. Heidi Petak

Dr. Heidi Petak is a speaker, voiceover artist, communication strategist, Dove Award-winning scriptwriter, and the Communications Director for The Ascent Church. She trains leaders, organizations, and everyday people to be strategic communicators. Heidi’s most daunting endeavor was co-founding the Heart Perception Project, an effort to help Americans learn to connect across the political divide. Dr. Petak is also an affiliate professor for Colorado Christian University and in the graduate program of Denver Seminary where her students call her “Dr. P.” She earned her Ph.D. in Communication from Regent University, a M.A. from the University of Arkansas, and a B.S. in Broadcasting and an A.A. in Art and Design from John Brown University. She and her husband Brian live in Colorado and parent four boys, one dog, and a one-eyed cat who challenge their communication skills daily.
